Dear Mr. Lowry,
Thank you for your efforts on behalf of all Georgia Patriots. Your call to
action is so much appreciated by those of us that know the Constitution is
not a republican or a democrat but a document that clearly outlines the
rights of the people and the limitations of a Federal Government. Please
consider the following for print on our Georgian Sovereignty site.
I envy the eloquence and knowledge of Vicki whose post I have just read. I
am not a Constitutional scholar nor do I have the skills to be a spokesman
for this cause. What I do have is the freedom to speak freely and openly
and hopefully without fear of retaliation from a Government drunk with
power.
The problems we have today with an over reaching Federal Government can be
traced to our past legislators here at home. Once they get to Washington it
seems they "go along to get along" with very little thought about how
their votes on laws will affect people here at home. They have become part of
the Washington Crowd that our President proudly proclaimed he was not a part
of. He looked into our eyes and promised when elected he would change the
quid pro quo "line item by line item". He then proceeded to pass a
stimulus bill with over 8,000 pork projects included. This was passed along party
lines with only 3 republicans supporting it if I am not mistaken and one
of those has since joined the ranks of the democrats.
While the Federal Government and the media have kept us occupied arguing
over party politics, our individual rights shrink away. We can no longer
discipline our children for fear of either arrest or having that child taken
away from us. We must be very careful in our language or we will be labeled
racist or accused of hate mongering.
Look at your next paycheck and look at the deductions going to our state
verses those going to the Federal Government. It is useless to march, write
or sign petitions to the Federal Government. Our real power is here at
home with our local Representatives and politicians. Washington gets
thousands of letters, emails and phone calls daily and it has not made a
difference. I contend a hundred calls and letters or even a couple of dozen to your
Representative here at home will have an immediate impact.
This movement has me more excited about the change that is possible and the
return of lost freedoms than anything I've seen in years. I hope you will
get excited with me and contact your local Rep. and let them know you
support Georgian Sovereignty and further more you will vote that way come
election time no matter which party you have to vote for.
I visit as many political blog's as possible everyday and encourage
everyone to get on board this movement for their states and direct them to the
Tenth Amendment Center. This is not a right wing movement or a left wing
movement but a people movement and we must make that clear.
If you have the talent I encourage you to write letters to the editors of
your local papers and call into radio shows. For the first time in our lives
we really have an opportunity to make the government work for us as the
Constitution intended. God bless you all.
BK Campbell

The U. S. federal government’s recent legislation infers itself into every facet of its citizens’ private lives. These proclamations include:
· Passage of bailouts and budgets that are bankrupting our country;
· Taxpayer subsidies for organizations under suspicion of voter fraud (ACORN, etc.)
· Nationalization of private banks and corporations;
· The GIVE act, which mandates “volunteerism; it is aimed at the youth of our country; it suggests that participants in the program should not participate in organized religion! The GIVE act has a chilling similarity to Hitler’s “brown shirts”;
· Mandatory nationalized healthcare, which is a expensive, inefficient, and allows the government to make life and death decisions, in all countries that have implemented it;
· Cap and trade: the federal government has determined that carbon dioxide is a dangerous gas, even though eighth graders know that carbon dioxide is necessary for photosynthesis; without it, trees would not be able to produce the oxygen that is needed for life, human and animal. They are going to levy a tax on CO2 that will bankrupt businesses and make our utilities very expensive;
· We are not allowed to utilize the fuel sources that are so abundant in our country. Petroleum , coal, nuclear, and natural gas exploration and construction is forbidden;
· Control of programming content on television and radio, as well as an attempt to take over management of the internet (which has become a vehicle for entrepreneurial activity for many Americans);
· Profiling of citizens who do not agree with federal government financial and domestic policies (i.e., tea party attendees, bloggers, etc.)
There are bills in congress to control the food source, including private vegetable gardens (Rosa DeLauro, [D] CT). They are threatening our right to bear arms. Not only does the federal government not want us to own guns, they are making it very difficult to obtain ammunition. Additionally, in opposition to the will of most Americans, the federal government is intent on granting amnesty to illegal aliens, placing another huge financial burden on its citizens and infrastructure.
None of the above activities is Constitutional; the federal government has very limited powers under the Constitution, namely to defend its citizens, protect the borders, and negotiate treaties. All other governance is left to the purview of the states.
I expect my state to stand up for the constitutional rights of its citizens, and protect us from tyrannical legislation levied by the federal government. I am an American. I was born under the U.S. Constitution and expect to enjoy all of the protections and freedoms afforded by that document.

I am writing to encourage the swift passage of Tom Price's bill, HR770, that would formalize the State of Georgia's sovereignty, as it relates to unconstitutional federal government activity.
As a resident and taxpayer of Georgia, I expect my state to protect my rights, as described in the Constitution of the United States. Somewhere along the way, we have forgotten that the states created the Federal Government, and gave it very limited powers. Each state is responsible for passing legistation that affects quality of life for its population, because the priorities and demographics of each state are so different.
I am requesting that you pass the sovereignty bill as soon as possible. The federal government is insinuating itself into every detail of our lives. If Cap & Trade passes, I won't have the freedom to buy the light bulb of my choice; the government will decide whether I can have heat or air conditioning, based on some arbitrary standard. If National Healthcare passes, the federal government will have the power to make life and death decisions regarding each individual's medical treatment. This is not what the founding fathers had in mind when they described "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness". TARP spending is dooming us all to a life of debt and servitude that can never be repaid.
It is your responsibility to say NO MORE to the federal government. It is time for Georgia to re-establish its role in our lives as a protector of our states rights. I fail to comprehend how anyone could be reluctant to sign this legislation. Please waste no time...we are running out of time.
-Vicki
